PVC Repair Patches for repairing your rigid inflatable or paddle board

To the experienced eye it is usually easy to tell but untrained there are a few ways to tell!

Firstly if you can find a patch sometimes on the transom there is a patch that bridges to the transom from the tube where you can see both sides of the fabric, if its the same colour both sides (unless your tube grey or black) its likely p.u or pvc since hypalon inside colour is always grey or black regardless of colour.

If you scuff/sand hypalon with 60grit it will sand fine dust as apposed to p.u and pvc both will scratch and score but not sand correctly.

If you wipe solvent on pvc it softens both p.u and hypalon will be resistant unless its incontact with solvent for a longer period of time.

Short answer is no, while we can repair pvc replacing tubes with new pvc is not something we recommend our customers however if you are certain you want pvc tube, fender or other inflatable it can be made from Valmex, upon specific request.
